Prof. Dr. Waldomiro José Silva Filho

Waldomiro J. Silva Filho is Professor of Theory of Knowledge at Federal University of Bahia (Brazil) and Researcher at the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). His main areas of research are epistemology and pyrrhonism (ancient and contemporary). Currently he is concerned with problems in virtue epistemology, mostly in the problem of epistemic justification, understanding, and the epistemological place and value of reflection. Silva Filho is also interested in applied epistemology in education and democracy issues. Silva Filho is President of the Brazilian Society for Analytic Philosophy (2016-2018) and Fan of the Fluminense Football Club.
Dario Mortini

Dario Mortini is a PhD student at the University of Glasgow and a member of COGITO (Epistemology Research Centre). He is interested in epistemology and philosophy of law. He currently holds a Jacobsen Fellowship awarded by the Royal Institute of Philosophy to research the ethics and epistemology of eyewitness testimony. His dissertation develops a novel formulation of the safety condition for knowledge and applies it to elucidate different legal standards of proof. His paper "The Explanationist and the Modalist" is now forthcoming at Episteme.
Prof. Dr. Peter Graham
Peter Graham is Professor in the Department of Philosophy and the Program in Linguistics at the University of California, Riverside. From 2016-2018 he was the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs for Arts & Humanities and from 2011-2016 he was the Associate Dean for Student Academic Affairs in the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. He has been an Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Philosophical Associationsince 2014. He currently serves as Chair of the American Philosophical Association Committee on International Cooperation and he is a Member of the Board of Officers of the American Philosophical Association. He has been the Director of the Epistemology and Philosophy of Psychology Workshop at the University of California, Riverside since 2009.
His primary research and teaching areas are epistemology, social epistemology, philosophy of psychology, philosophy of biology, philosophy of social science, and philosophy of language and linguistics. He has published numerous articles in scholarly journals and books. He is the co-editor of Epistemic Entitlement (Oxford University Press) and the Routledge Handbook of Social Epistemology (Routledge). His current research focuses on the epistemologies of testimony and perception.
Prof. Dr. Michael Blome-Tillmann
Michael Blome-Tillmann is an Associate Professor in Philosophy at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and holds a William Dawson Scholarship -- McGill’s equivalent to a Canada Research Chair. Before joining the McGill faculty in 2009 he was the Stevenson Junior Research Fellow in the Arts at University College, Oxford. More recently (2014-16) he was a Marie Curie Experienced Researcher at the University of Cambridge. I has earned a BPhil (2003) and DPhil (2007) in philosophy from the University of Oxford
His primary areas of research lie in epistemology, the philosophy of language, and especially their intersection (the semantics of knowledge attributions). He has published articles on a number of topics in epistemology, including scepticism, closure, Moorean reasoning, reliabilism, and epistemic contextualism, but also on topics in the philosophy of language—such as conversational implicatures and definite descriptions. A monograph developing his views on epistemic contextualism has appeared in 2014 with Oxford University Press.
Prof. Dr. Kai Wehmeier
Kai Wehmeier is Dean’s Professor in the Department of Logic and
Philosophy of Science at the University of California, Irvine, with
secondary appointments in the Departments of Language Science and of
Philosophy. He has been directing UC Irvine’s Center for the
Advancement of Logic, its Philosophy, History, and Applications
(C-ALPHA) since its inception in 2013. Wehmeier is an editor-in-chief
of the /Journal of Philosophical Logic/ and a member of the editorial
board of /History and Philosophy of Logic/.
His research focuses on philosophical logic, philosophy of logic,
philosophy of language, the application of logical methods in
linguistic semantics, and early analytic philosophy (especially Frege
and the early Wittgenstein). He has published numerous articles in
peer-reviewed journals and in 2017-18 was a fellow of the National
Endowment for the Humanities
Dr. César Schirmer dos Santos
César Schirmer dos Santos is an Associate Professor of Metaphysics at the Department of Philosophy of Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). He is the founder and coordinator of the Philosophy of Memory Lab - UFSM. His main areas of research are philosophy of memory and metaphysics of time.
